Chief Instructor:

Tom Joanes Sensei is uchideshi, or direct student, to the Southwest Regional coordinators/senior instructors, Dave Nachman Sensei and Roni Burrows Sensei, of the Kokikai International Association in Phoenix, Arizona. Tom Sensei holds the rank of san-dan, or third degree Black Belt, and is a certified instructor of Kokikai-ryu Aikido. He has instructed both children and adults for seven of the thirteen years he has trained in the art. He has a dynamic, engaging method of experiential based instruction and encourages students to apply their Aikido experience to their everyday lives for maximum benefit and joy!
