benefits of aikido
So what can Aikido do for you?
People from a wide range of ages and physical abilities can
benefit from Aikido training. While students may notice an
increase in certain muscle tone, increased muscle mass is
neither a goal nor expected benefit from Aikido training. New
students will see almost immediate improvements in balance,
flexibility, and skill progression. Long-term benefits include
improved effectiveness, efficiency, and agility of movement —
both physically and mentally. Cardiovascular endurance,
awareness, self-control, self-confidence, and sense of community
are other long-term benefits that students can reap from Aikido
practice.
